HLB Tietotili joins the Rantalainen Group through an acquisition

HLB Tietotili Oy and its direct subsidiaries will continue to provide high-quality and reliable accounting and advisory services as part of the Rantalainen Group, with the same staff, in the same premises and under the same terms and conditions. With Rantalainen and HLB Tietotili joining forces, the new owner will bring more resources for growth and synergies for both. The aim is to continuously improve the good service that we provide to our clients.

HLB Tietotili Oy and its direct subsidiaries will become part of the Rantalainen Group in a company share transaction completed on 21st August 2024. HLB Tietotili’s current operations will continue as part of Rantalainen in terms of services in the existing premises, by the existing, competent and reliable staff. As a result, the experts appointed for our clients will remain the same and the staff will continue to serve Clients in the same way as before. The merger will have no impact on the content or pricing of our clients’ services.

“The most important things for us are professional, motivated staff and satisfied clients,” says Emma Joki, Chief Operating Officer of Rantalainen Etelä.

We hope to continue and further improve our good cooperation with all our current and future clients!

We have been entrepreneurs in the industry for more than 40 years

We joined forces in 1985 and founded Tietotili together. This had been preceded by a doing accounting business on the side in our own separate companies since 1984. We have now been entrepreneurs in the industry for over 40 years. We have managed to grow and internationalise our business, providing quality services to our clients and quality jobs for our skilled staff, that we value highly.

HLB Tietotili is currently one of the leading companies in our industry, both as a successful company and in terms of our expertise. A positive, supportive spirit has been part of our way of working, both among our own staff and our clients.

We’ve wanted to stay ahead of the pack and develop the good services we provide to something even better. This requires the right attitude, good motivation and sufficient resources to implement development projects. We knew Rantalainen from before and during the negotiations we were assured that the good, positive development would continue and that our company would have even better resources to carry out the development projects we were aiming for.

We thank all our clients and our great staff for the long, positive cooperation, as our role changes due to the acquisition. However, we are not retiring or leaving the profession just yet, but will continue to actively work as CPAs within our auditing firm that we still own, Tietotili Audit Oy.

From the beginning of next year, we can offer to continue our cooperation as auditors for our old accounting clients. As owners of the accounting firm, we have not been able to act simultaneously as auditors for accounting firm clients, but after this transaction this constraint will be removed.

Warmly thanking everyone,

Vantaa, 21st August 2024

Business partners,

Urpo Salo and Veikko Virkki
